Nuno was born in 1999, in Oporto in Portugal. From his 21 years of age, he has already competed in 7 European Championships: 2 European Championships in the Children Category, 4 European Championships in the Junior Category and 1 in the Young Riders Category. Nuno was trained by his idol Pedro Veniss from 13 to 18 years old before making the decision to become a professional rider and establish himself in Belgium where he started working with the Brazilian International rider and two times Olympian Cassio Rivetti, competing his own horses as well as the horses of Belgian owners.

One year after, Veniss Stables him to join their team as a second rider for the Brazilian Olympic rider Pedro Veniss, first in Waterloo and now in the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona where he now resides. From Nuno’s perspective, he would consider his best horses to have be Disco (Numero Uno / Corland) who he competed twice in the European Championships with and Pantaro (Prado/Natiello) who he completed 4 European Championships with.

Looking at his Top achievements, Nuno has had a 2nd place in the 1.45 CSI** GP in the MET with Disco, a 2nd place in the 1.50 CSI*** in the Sunshine Tour with Disco and a stunning win in the 1.45 CSI** with Pantaro in Casas Novas. Nuno has an ambitious future, aiming to have his own stable, while collaborating and working under the advice of his mentor Pedro Veniss. Today, he also collaborates with his brother and rider Joao Tiago Gomes, training quality young horses for the Sport in his family stable in Portugal.
